Custom Fireplace Mantel
A custom fireplace mantel built and fitted to an existing brick surround. The original mantel came off and a rough-hewn timber beam went up in its place, changing the character of the whole room without touching the masonry.
West Chester Basement Remodel
A full basement remodel in West Chester, Ohio, finished right down to the last paint touch-up. New framing, drywall, flooring and lighting, plus a reworked staircase with a dark accent wall - unused square footage turned into the room the family actually needed.
Subway Tile Walk-In Shower
A walk-in shower finished in white subway tile with a glass mosaic accent band running through it, a built-in bench and matte black fixtures. The bench and the niche were framed in before tiling rather than added afterwards, which is why the tile lines run through cleanly.
Lebanon Bathroom Remodel
A bathroom remodel in Lebanon, Ohio finished in soothing tones of gray and white. A calm, uncluttered scheme that will still look current in ten years, which is more than can be said for most bathroom trends.
Moen Digital Shower Install
A Moen digital shower controller installed in a Cincinnati-area bathroom. It lets you set and start the shower from the in-shower panel, from your phone or by voice, and holds the temperature exactly where you set it. Fitting one means planning the valve and the wiring before any tile goes on.
Loveland Outdoor Deck
An outdoor deck built in Loveland, Ohio, with black metal railing and a deck surface chosen so it will not need sanding and sealing every other spring. Footings below the frost line and proper flashing where the structure meets the house.
Covered Porch and Raised Deck
A covered porch with room for a full outdoor lounge set, alongside a raised deck running the width of the house. Black metal railing, board-and-batten skirting to close in the underside, and stairs down to the yard.
Gray Shaker Kitchen Remodel
A kitchen remodel in gray shaker cabinetry with a quartz-topped island, a cluster of glass globe pendants overhead and dark hardwood floors. Built-in wall ovens and a full-height cabinet run keep the working surfaces clear.
Custom Built-In Storage Bench
A built-in storage bench designed and built during a home renovation - a window seat with a paneled front and real storage underneath. Built in place and scribed to the wall so it reads as part of the house rather than furniture pushed up against it.
Walk-In Shower and Patterned Tile Bath
A bathroom remodel pairing a frameless glass walk-in shower with patterned floor tile, a white shaker vanity and matte black fixtures throughout. The pattern on the floor does the work so the rest of the room can stay quiet.
